City of Santa Cruz seeks Information Technology Specialist I

 

 The IT Specialist I serves as a technical expert and provides computer hardware, software, peripheral and user support in a networked environment; analyzes, troubleshoots and maintains a complex network infrastructure connecting end-users in a local area networks (LAN) wide area network (WAN) in a varied environment of operating systems and suites; demonstrates a full understanding of all applicable best practices, policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; performs other related duties as required.

 

To apply, submit completed City of Santa Cruz application form and response to supplemental questions. The first 40 qualified applications accepted or submit by 2/9/12, whichever occurs first; recruitment will close without notice.  There is a current vacancy in the City/County Library.  Maximum pay indicated above includes longevity premium

Anything that is desktop support makes me think it's another "IT Guy"
job, where any and all technical problems are your fault.

I am sure their are plenty of people that would be happy to get this job...or any job.  Why would we proceed to judge it,  invalidate it, and discourage others from posting jobs here for the fear that we will ridicule it.  If the job doesn't fit your criteria, maybe it is best to just click on through to the next email.
