Afternoon all,
For those whom I have not yet met, I recently moved to Santa Cruz to
start a company in association with an incubator "over the
hill" (
http://founderinstitute.com) and am actively looking for a
technical co-founder...or generally just to get to know some of the
awesome people Margaret keeps telling me are on this list.
I am working on a product to solve the chicken-and-egg problem of
getting a website or online community started - nobody wants to stay
if nothing interesting is happening, but nothing interesting happens
if nobody stays. We deliver instant critical mass community forums on
day zero, saving the average startup 6-12 months getting traction, and
about $100,000-150,000 in their first year.
I have a laundry list of business/startup customers lined up to test
and buy and interest from top tier investors, but I don't have a
network in the area to find rock solid development ninjas to push the
product out the door.
If you are, or know, an engineer who wants to do some heavy lifting
with code, make key decisions on architecting the product, and
ultimately lead a dev team, please let me know.
A bit about me: I've been building high return communities for
startups for about 7 years. The last contract I finished delivered
$2million in volunteer labour hours annually, on a $25,000
expenditure. This product has been developed based on years of
personal experience and interaction with startups, other community
managers and social media marketers to address one of the biggest
challenges of startups and community builders.
Email, phone or just come say hi, I'm in the NextSpace Cafe almost
every day, usually in one of the two tall tables near the stairs
