Success Groups

Hello Geeks,

This email is particularly relevant to any of you currently in the job market, or anyone that you know that may be.  I just wanted to let you know that there is a Success group forming to help each other get jobs.

The intent of the group is to help job seekers to ramp their search by joining a success team.  The team helps each other by sharing resources, best practices, critiques, recommendations, referrals, etc.  It's commonly recogized that being part of a success team is self-fullfilling - people tend to be more effective in a job search. A team would comprise of 6-8 people with people cycling in and out over the long term.   he composition of these teams can be diverse - industry/skill, etc. or more homogeneous - this has yet to be determined.

The intent of these teams are to ratchet-up an individual's job seeking intensity.  This entails 1) committing to the group over some period of time and meeting weekly 2) setting personal goals and allowing the team to coach you and hold you accountable on a week to week basis and 3) vice-vesa.  

The next meeting will be on Thursday the 29th at 9AM in the back room at the IHOP on 41st ave near orchard supply.  You can feel free to just come by and check it out, but if you know you want to come, it is best if you reply to me off list so we have some idea of numbers.
