Hi,
Does anybody know why most every email of the past 10 or so days sent
to the SC Geek list is marked as JUNK?

Hi Sara,

I haven't seen anything come through to the geeks list marked "junk"

Me neither. Who hosts your email, Sara?

Cheers,

James

If they are using spam assassin you can look at the headers of the email and see what spam score the geek emails are getting and why it got that score. Should say something like x-Spam-score:.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Pair.com uses Spam Assassin. I was on the lightest filtering setting and I've simply added  santacr...@googlegroups.com as an 'acceptable' email in my pair.com email management.  Good enough for me.

FYI, I've never designated Geek email as spam but it would appear that something in the ether started to think so starting Oct 30 with the "Free wifi grid downtown" conversation.  Two examples:

X-Spam-Check-By: mailwash50.pair.com

X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=11.8 required=5.0 tests=CMAE_1,HTML_MESSAGE,MIME_QP_LONG_LINE,NORMAL_HTTP_TO_IP autolearn=no version=3.002005

X-Spam-Flag: YES

"free" is a pretty spammish word...
