Getting back into the book club
Life has been pretty hectic as of late (new job, holiday stuff, etc), but I've got my plate much clearer now. I'd like to get involved again. I see that mail traffic fell off just recently, and talking to Phil I know that the latest meeting was never finalized time wise so it hasn't happened yet.... more »

A new book to read!
Hi guys, I would agree that technological change is one of the greatest obstacles in this (Tech-) world. We are still sitting in driving cars, not in flying cars, promised by the year 2000, What is up with that ? :) Seriously though, I like the idea of the book "Driving Technical Change" from PragProg.... more »

New to the group
Hi guys, I am new to the group and I am surprised that there is not a whole lot of stuff going on here. When was the last meeting, and is this group still active? Thank you!!! —Kai

Ready for Haskell on Tuesday?
Hi all, the email I'd sent discussing the book club reboot proposed the next Haskell chapter (chapter 4, I think) for this coming Tuesday. Anyone going to be ready/planning to join in? I'm thinking 7:00 on skype...

SA Book club meeting- TONIGHT! (are you joining in?)
Tonight at 7:00pm, we are having our next Virtual SA Tech Book Club meeting, discussing Chapter 16 in "Domain Driven Design". I realize it's been a rocky start to the new year with the book club, so if you're planning on joining in (or had earlier said you were joining in, but won't be able to make it) it would be great to send an email along so we know whether we'll... more »

SA Book Club - needs your response!
Hi all, I sent this out early December, but it was the holidays, so maybe a tough time to get people to read and process things. Read the below email for details, but here's a summary: 1) For those of use that were reading it, let's finish up the DDD book, one way or another! Anyone in? 2) Haskell: is there still interest? Interest in switching things up to... more »

SA Book Club meeting
Phil, thanks for the reminder! As some of you know, I accepted a position in Austin and have moved to Austin as of last Tuesday. I'm still interested in continuing along with the book club, but my ability to attend meetings in-person is going to be a bit restricted from now on. For the DDD meetings, there's no reason to change a thing. Actually, since... more »
