Namaste. The given bio suggests Swami Vidyaranya, also known as Madhava Vidyaranya (Pancadasi) , the 12th pontiff of Sringeri Peetham. His parents were Mayana and Srimati. He is said to be the brother of sayana.

The following is mentioned in the brief biographical note on सायणमाधवाचार्य on p.33 of the edition of सर्वदर्शनसंग्रह by Vasudevshastri Abhyankar, printed by the Nirnaysagar Press in 1924. (http://archive.org/details/Sarva-darsana-sangrahaOfMadhavacharya)

९. सर्वदर्शनसंग्रहाभिधनिबन्धप्रणेतार: श्रीमत्सायणमाधवाचार्या: शालिवाहनशकीयत्रयोदशशतकोत्तरार्धे समभूवन्नित्युपदमेवोक्तम्। माधवाचार्यैश्चैभिर्जनुषा यत्कुलं समलंकृतं तत्सायणेति नाम्ना लक्षितमासीदिति प्रतीयते। 

The note further mentions that his father was मायण, his mother was श्रीमती and that he was the Prime Minister and mentor of बुक्कराय,  the founder of the Vijayaanagara Dynasty.

Is he the same person as सायणाचार्य, the celebrated author of सायणभाष्य or were सायणाचार्य and माधवाचार्य two brothers as is suggested in several places?
