Shulba Sutras

Here is an update on the proposed National Seminar on Shulba Sutras being organised by Kalpa Heritage Trust on 1st and 2nd September 2012 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore:

The trust is honoured to announce that the key-note address will be delivered by Dr.A.K.Bag of Indian National Science Academy,New Delhi who has co-authored a book 'The Shulba Sutras' along with Dr.S.N.Sen as well as published many other works. 

Dr.Damodar Jha of Hoshiarpur who has written and edited a number of books on Kalpa Sastra will present a paper.

Vidwan Subbakrishna Shrauti of Chennai will present a paper

Dr.Ramkrishna Bhattacharya of Kolkatta will present a paper on Unusual Chitis in Shulba Sutras

Prof.Nabanarayan Bandopadhyay of Kolkatta will present a paper.

Dr.G.U.Thite of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute will present a paper on Contribution of Western scholars to the study of Shulba Sutras.

Vidwan Venkatesh Avadhani of Mathur,Karnataka will make a presentation on Apastamba Shulba Sutra.

Participation of more scholars is awaited.
