Origin of a mantra ॐ तत शंयोर आवृणीमहे

Sirs,
 
The following mantra is shown as invocation of पुरुष सूक्त । However, it could not be found in Rg Veda (Mandala 10 where the Sukta is present)
 
I shall thank the group for letting me know where is this mantra from.
Is it a shanti mantra?
 
ॐ तत शंयोर आवृणीमहे .गातुं यज्नाय गातुं यज्नपतये ,
दैवी स्वस्ति रस्तु नः स्वस्तिर मानुषेभ्यः
उर्ध्वं जिगातु भेषजं शं नो अस्तु द्विपदे शं चतुष्पदे
ओम शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ||

ऊँ तच्छं योरावृणीमहे। गातुं यज्ञाय। गातुं यज्ञपतये। दैवी स्वस्तिरस्तु नः ।  स्वस्तिर्मानुषेभ्यः। ऊर्ध्वं जिगातु भेषजं। शं नो अस्तु द्विपदे । शं चतुष्पदे॥ ऊँ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥६॥ 


It is among the शान्तिमन्त्र-s and found in the अथर्ववेदपरिशिष्ट also.

This shanti-mantra also is in:
 
Taittiriya samhita (2.6.10.2) and brahmana (3.5.11.1). http://sanksritweb.net/
 
shaMyuH = a deity presiding over sacrifice (Apte)

It is also in Rik 10-9-4 (sindhidveepa rishi, aapo devataa) but tradition attaches it to saama veda. In both, shaM and yo are two words.

The second half of the "shanno devI" mantra also has: shaM yorabhi sravantu naH (saama veda 3-13).

Read somewhere, referring to saayaNaachaarya: shaM is goodness or happiness (bliss) here and yoH is Bliss there (in the state of brahman or the anirvachaneeyam). Clearly, from the usage, shaM and yoH are two separate words in this shaanti mantra, so shaMyuH is not addressed here.

shaM appears numerously in all the vedas - shaM cha me mayascha me, shaM no devIrabhishtaya aapo bhavantu, the entire shamvatI sooktam, etc. Scholars may elucidate further.
