After some SERIOUS thought, I'm considering moving the entire archive
to a message board system. I've been speaking to some web hosting
friends of mine. We may have a new website and message board very
soon. I just don't want to loose the community we all have on The Long
Play when the website is eventually taken down later this year. How is
everyone?

I'm fine thanks, Garrett! Hope you're well too. And yes, I think it
would be good to keep the group going on one form or another. Good to
keep Sam fans connected in any way possible. I find samphillips.com a
little clunky to really use much. I like keeping in touch with other
fans on Facebook so that's been good, but I think a group like this
still has a role to play!

Good to hear from you Garrett. It has been a very busy summer for me and I've been behind on my emails for months now. Even though there is little happening on this list (like most lists out there these days), it is still a place that should exist for those times when we just want to communicate to Sam fans. Maybe Google+ will take off someday and we can use their circles to do this, but until then... 

I'm not a big fan of message boards unless there is a good notification system built in. If it doesn't come to my mailbox, I will probably not visit it on the web. I just don't have time to jump around to all my favorite music sites and see what people are talking about. Still, if you build it, I will follow. I just might not be very active. :-)
