Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I've been asked to give everybody a brief update on our church's financial
situation. We've had a bit of a "summer slump" in terms of income, and we
are hoping to pull out of it this month, with your help of course!
As a reminder, we have a 3-tier budget. The "bare essential" items needed
to continue to keep the doors open total about $4,000 per month, which
matches our pledged total. To fund other expenses such as some of our more
flexible debt payments, photocopies, evangelism, repairs and maintenance
and church-related travel, we need closer to $5,400 each month. To
aggressively attack our debt (and thereby pay less interest) and work on
building projects (such as electrifying our deck and building a
playground), we would like to target $6,000 each month.
Our AVERAGE monthly income for 2012 is $5,200. We had several good months
in the beginning of the year. However, June's income was $4,500 and July
and August were both $4,000.
So far, September has seen an income of $4,100, and we have one weekend
left. If you haven't been contributing recently, can you help us make
September a good month financially and put us back on track for our
long-term goals?
Your Treasurer,
Dn. Nicholas Park
