Subject: SATURN 2010 Call for Proposals Now Open
The call for proposals for the SEI Architecture User Network (SATURN)
2010 Conference (http://www.sei.cmu.edu/saturn/2010/) is now open.
Submit your proposal by November 9, 2009, at the SATURN website.
SATURN 2010 is scheduled May 17–21, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minn., and is
being held in collaboration with IEEE Software magazine. SATURN 2010
will focus on architecture methods, techniques, and practices that
enable organizations to meet their business and customer goals in the
face of persistent change. These topics are of particular interest:
* managing system evolution through architecture-centric practices
* preserving architectural support for important system qualities
while moving to new technologies
* case studies of architecting for change
* techniques, methods, tools, and processes that support the ability
to design for change
* economic and managerial considerations for architecting in a
changing environment
* architecture reconstruction and conformance
* dealing with technology obsolescence
* using agile or open approaches to deal effectively with architecture
in a changing environment
* staging architectural decisions to account for resource constraints
and changing business goals
* enabling change through self-adapting systems

Selected papers will be featured in IEEE Software. For more
information and submission guidelines, go to our website at
http://www.sei.cmu.edu/saturn/2010.

The SATURN Conference brings together experts from around the world to
exchange best architecture-centric practices in developing, acquiring,
and maintaining software-reliant systems. Architects at all levels
meet to share ideas and lessons learned, network, and learn about new
and existing technologies. In addition to attending this yearly
conference, you can interact with your peers by joining the SATURN
LinkedIn group and by reading and posting to the SATURN blog at
http://saturnnetwork.wordpress.com.
