I get an error building cddlib under 64-bit Fedora 10:

/bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -L/usr/local/lib
-L/scratch/sage-4.3.3/local/lib -o scdd_gmp simplecdd.o ../lib-src-
gmp/libcddgmp.la -lgmp
libtool: link: gcc -g -O2 -o .libs/scdd_gmp simplecdd.o -L/usr/local/
lib -L/scratch/sage-4.3.3/local/lib ../lib-src-gmp/.libs/libcddgmp.so /
scratch/sage-4.3.3/local/lib/libgmp.so /usr/local/pkg/gmp-4.2.4/lib/
libgmp.so -Wl,-rpath -Wl,/scratch/sage-4.3.3/local/lib -Wl,-rpath -Wl,/
usr/local/pkg/gmp-4.2.4/lib/usr/local/pkg/gmp-4.2.4/lib/libgmp.so:
could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

If past experience is any indication, this may be due to sage finding
the wrong library files. This is a 64-bit machine on a predominantly
32-bit network; LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to /usr/lib:/usr/lib64, but
there does also exist an NFS-provided directory /usr/local/lib,
hitting which usually causes trouble.

It looks like this is an issue with libtool, something like which
David Kirkby bumped into when trying to compile MPIR under Solaris.
There is a system-installed libtool on this machine, but it looks like
that's not the one being used...?

I posted the full install log here:

http://math.mit.edu/~kedlaya/sage433.log

in case anyone wants to have a look.
