Wow, I just burned 25 copies of 4.1.1 to give out at a conference I'm presenting on tuesday....

Jorge,

try out my version, is minimalistic and focused on both science
students and teachers. Sage runs really smooth and you have
just everything you need :)

Greetings,

Lucio.

I'm very curious -- Could you make a version that is a VirtualBox
appliance with a read/write filesystem using squashfs and unionfs to
keep the initial uncompressed size small?

Lucio,

I seem to recall an older version of the Sage CD that was a little difficult to use.  I just recently tried out the 4.1.1 CD and find it very responsive.  I like the simple interface and the fact that can always fire up Firefox and use http://www.sagenb.org if you need to!  Its seems to be based on debian or ubuntu.  How is your version different?

First off, thank you for your complements :)

Sage 4.2 Lightweight LiveCD has the same except from the newest Sage.

It is an Ubuntu built from scratch and a correct selection of packages to
install to make it faster and lighter.

Greetings,

Lucio.
