Success / Failures of 'optional' packages on Solaris.

I tried to install some optional packages and immediately hit a snag due to a
GNUism, where 'grep' is called with the '-o' option. John Palmieri thought the
-o was unneeded, and that is indeed the case. If someone wants to review that
patch (only removal of two characters), it is here.

With that fixed, I tried installing all the optional packages. Here are the
successes and failures. I've not run any tests on these yet - just confirmed
whether they install or not. There are

* 27 which install
* 11 which do not

I have fixed database_stein_watkins_mini
(a simple GNUism)

so after that is sorted, it should be 28 installing and 10 failing to install,
so around 75% are installing ok.

According to sage -optional, these are what I have. I think there are a few that
seem to be a few successes/failures not apparent in the log.
