Valgrind 3.5.0 now builds on OS X so I updated the optional spkg from
3.3.1. It builds fine on 10.5.8 but since this is the first time I
have modified a spkg I don't know if everything was done properly. You
can download it from the link below:

Thank you for doing this. I recently used the current Valgrind spkg to
valgrind Sage 4.1.1 with one thread; it took about 8 days! Maybe I
should start using more threads :-)

Cool! I have created a ticket to upgrade to a newer version of
Valgrind than what is currently available in the optional spkg
repository. The relevant ticket is #6834
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/6834
I'll look into this issue some time next week.
