RE:  Last Call for Volunteers at Festival de la Isla

Wow just less than a week away to Festival de la Isla 2009.  I still have a hand full of positions open and it’s the help of volunteers that this year’s festival will be successful.

For those of you not familiar, I would like to explain the purpose of our yearly Festival.  Festival de la Isla is a Puerto Rican cultural & unity event which offers live music, multicultural food, and a kids play area.  This year’s event will take place on August 15, 2009 from 10:00-7:00pm.

We are looking for volunteers to fill an array of opportunities: Parking Attendants, Vendor Assistants, Main Stage Runners, Cleaning Crew, and Tear down Crew.  Shifts are 5-8 hours long.  Volunteers may be scheduled between the hours of 7 am - 8 pm.  All volunteers will receive a guest pass and a meal & drink voucher. Volunteer requirements must be at least 16 years of age and must pass Meghan’s Law.  I hope that you will consider assist
ing us in any way that you can!
