FURTHER UPDATE: Madagascar Cuckoo near Biyamiti

A little more investigation this morning has revealed the following…

The MADAGASCAR CUCKOO was, in fact, definitely seen and heard yesterday morning. Richard Montinaro confirms that they located the bird calling on the left hand side of the road and moving around a little bit in the stretch between 2 – 2,5km from the turn–off from the Malelane side heading towards Biyamiti. They connected with it just after 07h30 yesterday morning and eventually left it after a while in the same area where it continued to call.

So, it is clearly still around. Good luck if you are on your way!
