Not exactly the news that most Gautengers want to hear on a Monday morning after searching the entire weekend for it without any success, but Mark Tittley has been in touch to confirm that the BLACK-TAILED GODWIT is present again at Dicken’s Pan in Bapsfontein this morning feeding about 50m north of the hide in amongst a group of about 50 Black-winged Pratincoles. Mark has photographed the bird as well, so there is no problem with the identification.
Good luck if you are still planning on chasing it!
Kind regards
Trevor
