Hi,

I have a query. Does anyone know of any group/school involved in free running/parkour?

I had contacted one person by the name Ashwin who is the only one
conducting some kind of training in parkour. He organizes his sessions
in Cubbon park. You can reach him at 9845396360 or
shoot....@hotmail.com.
Also below is the link to the article on Ashwin that appeared in Hindu

Yes I got his number while interacting with him on mails. I spoke to
him few days back. His view was parkour training is more focussed on
developing upper body strength and requires short bursts of intense
effort which is contrary to endurance training like long distance
running. So he feels may be parkour and marathon training might not
complement each other and in cases where one puts on upper body bulk
it might go against training for long distance runs.

Well it would certainly help in leapfrogging over the janta who only want to hog the TV time at the begining of the marathons and fade out after a km!!
