The Bangalore Marathon is now postponed to December 30th. The new date is put on the the Crossover website. http://www.coindia.com/

am not shocked at all....maybe it is the longest ever marathon which started
on 16th sep and ends on 30th Dec ( 2007??)

This is the  clearest indication yet, that the people running the show have NO CLUE what it entails to hold a big city marathon. They have even less knowledge of the amopunt of time and effort people put in to train for such an event.

I wouldnt be mean enough to ask people to aviod this one...

Apart from(and in spite of) repeated postponements, they've not even been able to give even 3 months between the date of announcement and race for training.  Then they mention in the declaration(where the date is still 9th Dec) - rule (iii) I/my ward understand/s that I/my ward must be of, and must train to, an appropriate level of fitness to participate in such a physically demanding event.
I don't have anything against them, but how will the crowds participate in the Marathon?
