Hi All,
This Sunday's run you can bring along your family. With the run + breakfast arrangement it will make sense for you to bring your family for this run. I will put up the cost for the breakfast by tomorrow.
For car pooling runners can send in the following info on the group.
Here are the directions to ONV:
There are two routes to Hessaraghatta - one is the National Highway route via
Tumkur Road and Peenya Circle, the other is a picturesque country road via
BEL-HMT and Jalhalli Air Force Station. For the directions via Peenya please
see the attached map or look at the ONV web-site (
http://www.ournativevillage.com/directionstoournativevillage.htm). The route
given below is the Hashy one winding its way through villages with less
traffic.
0 Km: BEL Circle on Outer Ring Road - To reach BEL Circle, if you are coming
from Hebbal flyover side, drive towards Tumkur Road, and turn RIGHT at the
second (as of now) traffic signal, 3.8 Km from Hebbal flyover. If you are
coming from New HMT-BEL Road (M S Ramiah side) bear LEFT when you hit the
ring road traffic signal and turn RIGHT at the next traffic light within 0.4
Km. From BEL Circle proceed straight towards the Air Force station, at 1.8
Km you will come to a small circle, continue straight to enter the Air Force
station.
4.8 Km: Exit from the Air Force station and continue straight through the
village.
9.9 Km: Reach a fork - bear left.
10.6 Km: Road enters a village and turns right.
12.4 Km: Road goes through another village.
14.2 Km: Road turns left.
15.7 Km: Reach a T-junction - turn LEFT.
16.9 Km: Reach a T-junction - turn RIGHT. Now you have joined the main road
that comes from Tumkur Road to Hesaraghatta.
17.9 Km: Turn RIGHT - from here you will see signboards for Kuteeram.
20.5 Km: Turn LEFT.
21.3 Km: Reach a T-junction - turn RIGHT.
22.1 Km: Turn RIGHT on to a dirt road - Stay dead straight on this dirt
road.
23.8 Km: Reach a T-junction - turn RIGHT and follow the dirt road for a half
kilometre to ONV.
Driving times: 40-50 minutes from Outer Ring Road BEL Circle.
Road conditions: Patchy for the last 10 kms.
Regards,
Arvind Bharathi
