OWASP (de sus siglas en ingles Open Web Application Application
Security Project) es una comunidad sin fines de lucro reconocida a
nivel mundial, enfocada en mejorar la seguridad en las aplicaciones
web. Nuestra misión es hacer "visible" la seguridad en las
aplicaciones, de manera que las organizaciones puedan hacer decisiones
informadas sobre los riesgos en la seguridad de aplicaciones. Todo el
mundo es libre de participar en OWASP y todos nuestros materiales
están disponibles bajo una licencia de software libre y abierto.

Durante los meses de Julio y Agosto OWASP estara realizando una gira
por Latino America promoviendo la seguridad de aplicaciones web en
universidades, organismos gubernamentales, empresas de TI y entidades
financieras.

Como parte de esta gira, estaremos organizando un OWASP Uruguay Day en
la ciudad de Montevideo el proximo 26 de Julio donde mostraremos
varios de los proyectos OWASP.
