Sinatra and Rufus Scheduler Issue

I'm hoping that anyone can help me resolving an issue that I have with Rufus Scheduler and Sinatra, rufus scheduler works when testing it out on the IRB but when I try to schedule any jobs on my applications they don't get executed.
