I got to this point: Your RVM wrapper scripts are too old, or some wrapper scripts are missing. Please update/regenerate them first by running:
rvmsudo rvm get stable && rvm reload && rvmsudo rvm repair all
If that doesn't seem to work, please run:
rvmsudo rvm wrapper [] --no-prefix --all
--- and tried both of those options - although I was stumped re: '[]' in the second command. Both appeared to work ok, but when I try passenger-install-nginx-module again I get the same response.

I contacted Phusion and they said it is a problem with my RVM install. I have been using RVM for 2 years and not had any other issues.
