I'm thinking about going with an accelerator account through Joyent
and have tried 3 times now to get a response to one simple question:

Does the setup costs include configuration of a standard rails app &
cron entry to start the app @ reboot? And if not, do they offer (for a
charge), services to configure this?

What worries me, Is I can't keep any sort of consistent communication
with this team anymore. What gives? Does anyone here know the answer?

It is not configured by default to run a Rails app.  However, there are support docs available that explain how to do it.  Once you get used to how Solaris works (if you are not already familiar with it), it gets quite easy.  When I set it up, there were a few differences from the docs, but over all, wasn't too difficult to figure out.
