Nature Publishing Group is looking to hire a junior developer to work
in the New
Product Development group. The ideal candidate will be a passionate
technologist
who wishes to apply their talents to delivering exciting and useful
features to our
customers in an agile development environment. You will be obsessed
with writing
beautiful code, delivering early and often, discussing technology
problems with
colleagues and helping shape our development culture.

Responsibilities:
* Building software to specification with a strong BDD/TDD attitude
* Provide technical assistance and information to other team members.
* Collaborating with people (Technical, PM, Business Owner) from other
teams
to ensure the success of the project.
* Continual improvement of code through code reviews, refactoring and
modularisation.

Essential Technical Skills:
* Designing and implementing web applications using Ruby on Rails
* Some awareness of Behaviour/Test Driven Development
* Languages: Ruby, Javascript, desire to learn new languages
* Technologies: Rails, MySQL, jQuery

Essential Personal Attributes:
* Self disciplined and motivated to deliver beyond the call of duty.
* Solid analytical and problem solving skills
* Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
* Able to develop your own ideas on improving tools, processes.
* The ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly.

Desirable Skills/Abilities:
* Linux / OS X system administration
* Java / jruby
* Experience writing Rails plugins and ruby gems

daugiausiai.
Pats ten dirbu jau beveik pusę metų, pradėjau kaip junior, dabar jau
pakilau. Kompanija superinė, surinkta labai gerai komanda.
Kam įdomu, rašykit man (angliško CV nepamirškit), papasakosiu daugiau.
Kanditatui patikrinti duodama internete parašyti šiek tiek ruby kodo,
o paskui būna video interviu. Algos tiksliai pasakyti negaliu, bet
Junior pozicija nuo 30k£ per metus prieš mokesčius.
