Same issue cloning gitHub repositories

Hi,

I faced the same issue - thanks for /noredirect -

But, I have the same problem trying to pull the source from git hub
with "git clone" project download is fast and then slows to nothing.
Do these come from the same location somehow?

Are you behind a proxy?

The files in github are in Amazon S3/CloudFront, so downloads should be faster unless your proxy is throttling them.

No, RubyForge downloads are stored in RubyCentral's servers (Rackspace) and sometimes the mirrors are redirecting you to the UK... weird, I know.
