Hey Edster,
I've not done a whole lot of testing to verify this but the data from their
api seems to be refreshed every 3 mins. Without testing next to a station
it's hard to say whether an update is fired as a bike is taken/returned.
This should be easier to verify once the web app is done.

Just wondering how real-time is the data?
Whenever I used the DBs there seems to be some discrepancy between the
reports and reality - but it might just be because I am checking a bit
before I get to the station.

Forked! Nice one Kev - the dublin bikes site is an atrocious build.
Now all I need to do is make sure I get to the last Capel St bike
before you do :)

For lovers of Dublin-based public transport API stuff, you may also

Knocked this together a few weeks back with the intent of using it to drive
a little mobile web app. Haven't got around to that just yet but it might
be useful to some. I'm using it at the moment to check the bikes status on

I'm delighted to see our little group swell to a MASSIVE 7 people with the
addition of a few new faces. I hope everyone enjoyed the banter as much as
I did and it was good to get some demos in (I definitely want to promote
this).
