Is there currently a way to do this with ruby whois?
I couldn't manage to do it so far :(

$ whois 77.67.19.144 | grep netname
netname:        AKAMAI-TINET

$ whois 85.25.0.24 | grep netname
netname:        INTERGENIA-1

?

Thanks,
marc

Hello Marc,

you can do

$ ruby-whois 77.67.19.144 | grep netname
netname:        AKAMAI-TINET

If you are looking for a way to get the netname using the OOP interface, I'm
sorry, this isn't supported at the moment.
Feel free to file a new feature request at
http://github.com/weppos/whois/issues
