Austin has provided a hotfix for PDF::Writer that I just added to Ruport.
Timo, can you build Ruport 0.11.1 from trunk and confirm that this
issue is resolved?

Sure, no worries. I am almost-certain we nailed it as it was a known
PDF::Writer
issue apparently and we accepted a patch from Austin for it.
