Another talk that I'd be happy to do is about Building cross platform
mobile apps with Rhodes (http://rhomobile.com/products/rhodes) it is
an open source framework that allows you to publish to multiple
platforms, creating native apps. Much of the development is ruby and
erb based and is pretty cool. I believe that Hampton Catlin has been
using it for some of his work with wikipedia mobile project.
Anyway, I've been looking at the framework for a client and as I'm
planning to delve further into the framework I could document this for
a talk.
Off the top of my head:
What Rhodes is, where to get it, and how you work with it
Compiling down to native apps, and feature set of the framework
Building a simple mobile app
Resources to get you going ..
If this is interesting to people I could do this talk, if its more
interesting than my ruby-processing proposal then I could swap out for
that and make this a longer talk - or someone else can if they are
interested.
