Architecture Documentation?

I'm interested in the overall architecture of Rubinius. I've looked
through the doc directory in the git repo, but most of the files were
last modified in 2008. Are these still current with where the rubinius
is today, or is there newer blog posts elsewhere that are more
current? Or is the best way to start reading the source?
