I'm using rssdler to scan a torrent feed, and it's downloading the torrents
fine, but it's creating them with permissions that doesn't allow any other
user or group to read them (-rw------- 1 pi pi). I have tried setting the
GID(?) bit on the folder by using chmod g+s, and it works fine for all
files currently in the folder, but any new files get the "600" permissions

megabytes of memory constantly. Is that normal behaviour or could there

In an effort to learn and mess with Python, I came across and began
using RSSDler. However, looking through the code and the log/debug
messages were as mess. So, I would like to propose the following
patch to clean up the code and messages. The bulk of the patch
consists of:

group emails have been fixed. Besides some comments in the tickets, I haven't
found any patches from people. So, if you have some patches, please send them

I'm glad to hear from you! I was about to sit down and open up a new project to fork this. I was delaying trying to come up with a good name (which I suck at and rssdler describes the project really well). I look forward to seeing patches and fixes making it into this project soon now.

Well, technically, by maintaining a seperate repository, you've already

well, the line it is tripping up on is:
s = socket(AF_INET,SOCK_DGRAM)
I'm not at all familiar with this netgrowl thing. I think if you change
socket() to socket.socket() you wil lbe good to go, assuming the rest of the
code is correct. What the error says is that you have effectively
done "import socket; socket()" which of course won't work since you cannot

I will look to make sure that everything is cast to the right value, but I'm
