Setting Up An Announcements-only List

[A Terrible Idea]

I set up an announcements-only email list with my host, for the
purpose of trying to keep people informed who aren't on this
discussion list. I haven't gotten my own invite yet, so I don't
expect anyone else has, but I build the list from a list of emails I
received during the handoff.

Announcements will point people to this group for discussion, and
there should be nothing posted to the announce list that isn't also
posted here. It may mean that members of both list will see the same
announcement message twice, in the rare occasions that I expect the
announcement list to be used.
