Subject: Looking for Game Design Resource submissions

Hi everyone,

I'm Jay Anyong from The Life and Times of a Philippine Gamer, and I'd like
to make an open call for anyone who has any good links, blog entries or
series that talk about writing & designing RPGs. I'm looking for other
resources as well, so freelancers (writers or artists) who are open to
being advertised on a blog like mine are welcome to send in their
information as well.

The reason for this is that I'd like to encourage game design in my
country, and having a go-to page with all sorts of handy advice and
resources might be just the thing to make it happen. I've only begun with
only a few meager links at the moment, but I'm hoping that the networks
will be able to help me out.

For the curious, here's the page I'm talking about
http://philgamer.wordpress.com/game-design-resources/

Thanks for your time.

-Jay

Not sure if it is what you are looking for, but I have a tag on Reality
Refracted for Game Design where I talk about certain aspects of designing
RPGs, though I haven't had a post under that tag in a bit. You can find the
tag related posts here:
http://www.realityrefracted.com/search/label/Game%20Design

I'll see what else I can dig up to help you too.

Hi Anthony,

This is great! I'm willing to accept anything as even musings about
mechanics and such can be really helpful.

Hi Jay,

I have a number of Game Design articles on the KORPG blog

http://www.korpg.com/blog/category/game-design/

You're welcome to
link back to them as well.

However, as my design focus includes more
than rpgs, you'll find more than rpg-centric entries therein.

Should
you want me to filter those results to be only rpg oriented, let me know
and I'll see how difficult it would be to create a custom filter to only
return those within the Venn intersection.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for bringing these to my attention. I don't mind linking to articles
that tackle more than just RPGs. Sometimes looking at other game types can
inspire someone to try something new and innovate.

Jay,

Well, I've been writing a blog series about game design called Making the
Game (part 7 just went live today), but it's actually about the card game
I'm making, not an RPG.

Hi Michael,

I can link to this, but I suppose I might as well place it under a  Non-RPG
game design category. Still good to have!
