Dear All,
 
Please find attached the Call for Applications for admission to the Roma Access Program 2012-2013, a full scholarship opportunity for Roma students. The program will run during the coming academic year at Central European University, a major post-graduate, English language university located in Budapest, Hungary.
 
The application deadline is 30th May 2012.
 
The Roma Access Program is a 9-month preparatory program for promising Roma students from Central and Eastern Europe, designed to prepare promising young Roma for international post-graduate studies in English language programs. The program focuses on English language and academic development, so that students become competitive candidates for placement in post-graduate programs at CEU, North American, or Western European universities. Full scholarships will be awarded, covering tuition, housing, travel, and a living stipend. For more information, please visit: http://www.ceu.hu/rap-call
 
Students from the following countries are eligible to apply: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Kosovo, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
 
Documents required:
 
1. Completed Application Form (in English), please find it attached
2. CV, including academic background, work experience if any, and involvement in Roma related issues in your country if any (in English)
3. Letter of Intention, stating why you would like to participate in this program. Please describe your academic achievements and interests as well as your involvement in Roma issues now and plans for the future. Specifically, please reflect on the ways in which you intend to serve as a role model for your community in the future (in English)
4. One Reference Letter from a recognized Roma organization – translation into English should be attached if the recommendation is written in local language
5. One Reference Letter from a university professor or your employer – translation into English should be attached if the recommendation is written in local language
6. Official scanned copy or photocopy of your diploma or certificate of enrollment confirming that you will graduate from university by July 2012 (in your native language)
7. Official scanned copy or photocopy of your transcript (document showing courses taken and grades received during all your university years) (in your native language)
 
Official scanned copies or photocopies, must bear an ink stamp and the signature of a notary public or an authorized university official.
