Sara Renner first Canadian to reach podium at the World Championship
Good News USANA Family!
Congratulations to USANA-sponsored Nordic skier Sara Renner who became
the first Canadian ever to reach the podium at the world Nordic ski
championship winning a Bronze Medal in the women's 0.9 km cross-country
sprint event.
USANA has been gaining a reputation for being the premium nutritional
supplement among world athletes. This great news about Sara was just
sent in by Sanford Osler in Canada:
Sara Renner, a sprint specialist, has been a member of the national
senior team for eight years. Seventh was her previous best result at
the world championship in 2003. In last Tuesday's final race (February
22), Renner was challenged by three Swedes and none of them placed
among the favorites to start the event. Renner moved into third place
after an agitated stretch race. We are sure it was a moment Sara Renner
is not soon to forget.
I knew I had a chance, Renner said of the final push. I reached really
deep down. I don't know where I got that energy but it came from
somewhere.
This is also a great victory for the USANA family because Sara has been
taking USANA products for over six months. It is another impressive
result for our Canadian sport initiative, USANA, and our high-quality
products.
"I have noticed that my health, in fact the health of the whole Senior
National Ski Team, has been good since we started taking the USANA
products. Good health is critical to enjoying and performing well in
our sport, so it is wonderful to be partnered with a leader in
nutrition like USANA," Renner said.
Congratulations again to Sara and all of USANA's talented athletes!
