Subject: Single travelers Q&A info
HI-Sandy
I am looking into returning to Honduras for a relaxing trip to Roatan,
somewhere between Aug.-Oct.(2 weeks?)lot of your posts on a Roatan
forum I just joined. You seemed to be very knowledgable on the
island..... I have reviewed the flights on TACA and would love to chat
with you concerning accomodations at the Coral Beach Inn. Any
suggestions on travel timing, airfare, island transportation, location,

would be greatly appreciated:) This will be my first trip out of the
states alone, I am a little naive on international travel.....
Thank you so much for your comments, Serena

Hi Serena,

Thanks for asking about Coral Beach Inn and Vacation Rentals.

The dates you requested are available. (I think--first you kinda need
to pick some firm dates.) <smiles>  As far as availability and weather
goes, pretty much any time during that period is going to be about the
same. Earlier is better to avoid rains--but is also hotter--and there
aren't usually rains much during any of this time anyway.

If you want to chat in person in our chat room?  Just e-mail me a time
and I'll be there.  No problem! The topsites chat room is also on our
CBI site at http://members.aol.com/cbeachinn/ocean.htm

Also there are links to photos and info there (including Roatan
weather) as well!

Traveling alone, I'd highly suggest the direct flights to Roatan..
Saturday they run out of Houston on Taca and Continental--Sunday on
Taca out of Miami.

Book now!  Rates now for airfare are VERY good!

Our general information letter with all accommodation types, beds in
each and all rates follows~~~

Feel free to write back if you have questions this doesn't answer.

Hope to see you then! <smiles>

Welcome to Coral Beach Inn!
Where are we?
We're located at First Bight, right down the beach from CoCo View
Resort (but not too close) and near the area on a map for Fantasy
Island -- in the spot on the island where the reef and wall sits right
ON shore for excellent walk in diving and snorkeling. Our HUGE,
private, white sand beach is used ONLY by our few guests--no sales
people with t-shirts while you're trying to get your tan. Photos links
at http://members.aol.com/athundersm/photos.htm

Diving and Snorkeling?
Coral Beach Inn sits on a finger of land with the beach and reef out
front and a calm water bay and our dock across the street. Our
excellent location gives you easy walk in access to tons of great
dive/snorkel sites!  Snorkel gear is $10 per day--or bring your own.
Shore dives are $15 per tank fill, or $25 from dive boats. Dive gear
and instruction are available here too.  Just ask!

Fishing, Kayaks and Water Tours?
We have a private liveaboard available just for you ! A nice large boat

with bathroom and sleeping quarters. Drinks, fishing gear, and bait
included for even as few as TWO people at $30 per hour!   Boat trip
goes east to the islands of Barbara, Pigeon Keys, mangrove tunnels, and

on to tour the rustic and beautiful end of the island you can ONLY see
by boat. Ever want to go to a deserted, perfect, white sand beach alone

and spend the day snorkeling, diving or swimming with a picnic lunch?
Just ask. We can make it happen!

Or ask about our new guided bone/flats fishing trips, Cayos overnight
island hops and private sunset dinner and moonlight swim cruises. Also
you can fish from our dock across the street--for free!

Try a half day kayak tour around our calm water bay to the secluded
beach across the little bay.  Kayak holds two people and has room for
drinks and lunch too!

Horseback Riding?
Through the jungle trails and past a local scenic village to the beach
for a swim and lunch!  A half day guided (bilingual) tour that leaves
from your front door if you want. We can even pack you a backpackers
lunch to order!  Cost: $50 per person plus tip.

Laundry and Extra Services
Yep! We'll even do your personal laundry. For a small fee you can go
home with a suitcase full of clean clothes!   We also offer Internet
E-mail and fax services!

Other stuff to do?
There's tons to do here. Discos, scenic island tours, gardens,
shopping, bird sanctuary, dolphin park, iguana farm or just hanging out

in your hammock and watching the sunset to the sounds of soft reggae
music and sea breezes. Maybe with something frozen and fruity to drink?

Honestly, the photos just cannot do our sunsets, beach, or reef
justice!

But bring sunglasses--our white sand will make you squint without them.

<grins>

Prepaid food plans or order when you wish?
The cost is $250 per week per person for breakfast and dinner or $300
per person for three meals a day and snacks--including room service.

Our $250 meal plan includes:
Our breakfast menu includes omelets, crepes, bacon and eggs, Banana
bread French toast, fruit and sweet rolls -- even by room service.
Dinners are different each night with a guest choice night grill
including lobster twice per week.  Dinner menus include surf and turf,
lobster, pastas, shrimp, Jambalaya and chicken-- all that come with
healthy salads, rolls and also include WONDERFUL deserts (can you spell

chocolate mousse and eclairs?)
  .
Our  $300 per week meal plan adds:
We will also stock your fridge (all rooms here have a mini-fridge) with

cold cuts, cheeses, breads, snacks, and fruit for do it yourself
lunches and/or anytime snacks. (Note: Drinks are not included on any
meal plans.)

For those without prepaid meal plans?
Breakfast and dinner are available--again even by room service. We also

have sandwich lunches available.

In case you wondered?
The cost for "order as you go" meals IS a bit higher than for prepaid
meal plans if guests eat breakfast and dinner with all the trimmings.
For folks who don't eat breakfast, the "by order" method works best.

Romance?
Yep, you guessed right. Coral Beach Inn is the perfect place for a
romantic getaway! A mints on your pillow, get waited on hand and foot,
(or left alone--your choice) very private sort of beachfront inn that's

still close to everything without being too close.

First there's the 360 feet of white sand beach to stroll right out your

door.   Then your room with double bathtubs and scented bubble bath or
house with king-sized bedroom and screened deck. Or maybe followed up
by a really long soak in our private hot tub by the sea? Then there's
the room service--for free! Want to walk your own private beach alone
at night under the stars? No, really! Or maybe you'll sit in our double

cane swing and just watch the waves. . .

This is the most romantic place you'll ever stay.

The bad news?
We are a small private inn -- inexpensive --and VERY nice.  We DO
stayed booked in advance. So please confirm your vacation dates ASAP,
OK?  We'd really hate to miss having you as our guest/s. <smiles>

Room Rates?
To figure the cost of your stay simply multiply the number of nights
times the room rate. (NOTE: credit card payment DOES carry the same 4%
fee to you that they charge us)   Whatever accommodation type you
choose, here you'll always get a "mints on your pillow" inn service in
an air conditioned, beachfront room with mini-fridge. Here room service

is free!  As is the bubble bath for your big, two person, custom-made
bathtub.

to handle toddlers or infants.

All bedrooms are air conditioned and have their own bath and private
entrances to covered beachfront patios on the beach. Ceiling fans, dust

ruffles, and lace curtains are the name of the game here. We think
these "little things" make all the difference. No one should start out
lost at the airport and spend their precious vacation time hunting down

a room in a forever lost taxi, or looking for a good fishing boat or a
qualified dive master.
