Subject: The key to a perfect Roatan vacation!
Since we've been asked, please understand why we refuse to say anything
negative about other resorts--is just not the way we do things.

And we surely can't compare them to our place.  We think our place is
the BEST--if we didn't we'd be changing it to make it the best, eh?
<grins>

But what is THE BEST for one person can be THE WORST for another,
right? Some guests want a quiet retreat to chill out--others want to
tour non-stop and hit the most outrageous bars each night. We try to
offer all of the above.

All that said, I have an outrageous vacation suggestion for you. Maybe
try an un- planned visit to Roatan? (beyond booking a room and airline
which is a must!)

Planning day by day doesn't work in the tropics as things change so
quickly--including weather. It's not Disneyland here. Most attractions
are small and operated by owners.

Also, nothing is sealed until money changes hands anyway. Some places
close on a whim--based on a sick family member--or wedding on the
mainland they want to go to--or on slow days now in low season maybe
they just decide to close and go fishing for a few days. It's a VERY
different world here!

I PROMISE things will sort themselves out easily when you arrive.
You'll take a taxi to the West end/Bay area pretty quickly and then
decide the best day to do the park based on when they will or will not
be open and willing to take guests. Or not and you'll go hike Carambola
Gardens instead--or take a boat ride to Hole in the Wall--or whatever
strikes you to do that day.

Don't worry--be happy!

It all WILL work out! You'll do a sunset picnic on the day the sunset
most calls to you--you'll swim when you get hot--snorkel where you see
a fish or coral that attracts your awe--nap when you feel sleepy--read
when you feel like taking a break--tour when you feel
adventuresome--going where folks take you. There's not many places to
go--the island is small, used to tourists and friendly-- so your
chances of doing all the great stuff are near 100%!

You will have a great time here--even more so without planning for it!

As always, we hope this helps!
