Late migrating Ruby-throated Hummingbirds
I was wondering if anyone is still seeing hummingbirds in their yard or elsewhere? My last one left sometime Monday, Oct.12 - the latest I've ever had one stay. The Big Sit
I'd like to participate. Tom won't be able to go. It's too early for him since he plays music most Saturday nights. Is it 7AM? My memory fails me! Linda ---------- Original Message ---------- ...To: fhpbi...@yahoogroups.com, roanokebirds@googlegroups.com ... This year's Big Sit is scheduled for next Sunday, October 11. The Roanoke Valley Bird Club will have two circles set up at our house in Burnt Chimney. You are welcome to stop by and help watch for birds to add to the count. For more information about what the Big Sit is, see [link]. In addition to just being a fun day of birding and socializing, the club uses the event as a fundraiser, and we are currently accepting pledges. Contact us for more details.
