I arrived at th'Knob at 9:30 ...and in15 minutes an Adult Peregrine
came through...just over the trees !
That started a wonderful day at Harvey's ...only 250 or so birds...but
we had 11 raptor species, the most
I have ever seen on the mountain in 37 years of "hawkwatching"! 4
Peregrines, 1 Merlin, 2 ad. Bald Eagles,
...harrier, 'coopers', RS Hawk, RT Hawk, BW Hawk, AK, SS, Osprey !
The day ended with Baron still sitting
there at 6:00 ...somewhat cross-eyed ...as two ad. Red-headed
Woodpeckers came over low, together, and
in good light!!
report, barry kinzie

Pam...Elly , I believe the (2) adult Bald Eagles  ...30 minutes apart..came by th'knob ...right after you left,
2  or  3 o'clock!!
                    200-250 hawks!  .....11 raptor species...plus 2 vulture(species)  and a few friendly
'ravens'... the two adult Red-headed Woodpeckers, close by, in good light, near the end of the day.
                                                                                                                       regards to all, barry kinzie
