11/6/09 Sunny day in the upper 50's
We took a short walk at Greenfield today at 3 PM. Not much to report:
In addition to the ever present Mallards and Canada Geese there were
(4) Hooded Merganzers
(4) Pied Billed Grebes
(1) American Coot (our first since moving to Roanoke in 2006 from Atlanta)
(8) Lesser Scaup
(1) Great Blue Heron
Cardinals
Mockingbirds
Bluebirds
Chickadees
Yellow-Rumped (Myrtle) warblers
Song Sparrows
Juncos
As a matter of info when does the water fowl winter migration get in full swing here in the valley?
