She did lie in a sense, I see she was trying to remain in control of
the situation. However in such a small town word got out as soon as
school did!!!!

I agree with you here, Nosey. I think the operative phrase is "in a
sense." I think she probably told the truth technically, but it could
and should have been worded much better. That's why she needs somebody
who has a much better sense of how to communicate with the public than
she herself. She could avoid lots of misunderstanding and ill will if
she would keep her mouth shut and refer her to a good, professional
Public Information Officer.

That's not a bad idea. The more I think about it, tho, I think a PIO
is still a good idea, too. Getting in quick contact with the County
Attorney isn't always easy, from what I hear.

It is very easy to contact him at home or office. He is prompt on
returning messages also. I think he has always been there to help
anyone in county government that has had a problem or concern.
