Well, the DEXCOM meeting has passed, and the response in support of the
potential Marshall plant seems promising. One more thing remains: We
are still looking for a core group of at least five families to commit
to this plant. Now, we have spoken to the area pastors, and they have
some people that have expressed interest- at my count there were at
least six families- but we are looking for names, addresses, phone
numbers, or e-mails of these folks so we can arrange a vision casting
meeting in the very near future. We need to pray at this critical
juncture for the right people to be at that meeting so we can get the
ball rolling. I feel a real push from the Lord in that direction right
now. Tim reports to me that he has met with the fellow who planted the
E-Free church in that area, and who also occasionaly returns to preach,
and in his words he says that the CMA is 'crazy' not to have a plant
there. I don't know if I would put it quite that way, but I do know
that the Lord has placed my thoughts on Marshall and the possibilities
continually. If you ask Tim, he would tell you that My family and I are
ready to just start from scratch knowing nobody- this is how much God
is really impressing on me the need for a plant in Marshall. Please
pray for us and for the people who are supposed to be on the list we
get from the area Pastors. Please pray that we can get a meeting
together. And please pray for Marshall- that the fields would be white
for harvest.
In His Grip,
John Chisham
