This is a very comprehensive workshop. It starts at the introductory level and continues through intermediate/advanced. The self-guided content allows you to learn at your own pace--with readings, videos, software demonstrations and PowerPoint presentations. At the end of this webinar, you will be able to produce risk terrain models and maps that give actionable meaning to the relationships that exist between place-based indicators and crime (or other hazardous event) outcomes. You will be able to use RTM to perform spatial risk assessments and develop strategic models to forecast where problems are likely to emerge, and to allocate resources and engage in steps that might reduce risks and prevent problematic events from occurring in the future. Independent study projects that demonstrate a basic level of proficiency in RTM methods will earn a Certificate.

Cost is $425. This includes all course books, software (1-year ArcGIS license), and other materials. And now for the first time ever, you will have free access to InfoGroup data for a customized analysis experience to study your local environment. Included with your registration is current risk factor data for a jurisdiction of your choice.
