LETSystem website solution?

My local LETSystem needs an automated website to help reduce
workload!

What are you aware of that can help us?

All we need is accounting and a list(or searchable database) of
offered and wants.

Is there anything already out there as a solution to this problem?

Thinking laterally this could be done by using Ripplepay.com and a
online services like Google Docs, or a Wiki. Something basic is best,
nothing overly complicated. And ideally, can be run cheaply. Can we
use ripplepay.com live?

Bit suprised to see anything other than CES mentioned in the context of a pure LETS system.

Far from perfect in my honest opinion, especially from a technologist perspective.

However from an end user perspective it has everything you described and has been around long enough that many of the rough edges have been warn off and the extra little bits and pieces people need built on it.

I recently attended the NZ alternative currency conference where many different types of alt currency were discussed. However every single currently operating LETS exchange in NZ is now on CES. Its not an NZ system though, I believe it was built in south africa.

Certainly worth including in your consideration along with easyswap and such

Be sure to check the software page of the CC Resource Center for other
software options.

CES was built by Tim Jenkin in South Africa, but it's in use in many
different countries now.

However other systems may be better suited to a particular system's
needs.

Thanks for the info. I'm a total newbie to this.

- Cyclos: Too complicated! Got it running no problems on my home
machine... but a rented server at slicehost for this would be $20/
month. I'm fairly technical, but I can't see non technical users
feeling too relaxed about this. Not sure how to make a user account,
or how to recover admin password
- community-exchange.org: Took me ages to figure out that this is a
registry website, not software you can download and run on a home
computer. An option though, and glad to know about it. This will
probably end up what we use. But from an ideological perspective it's
probably not a good idea to rely on it because it's a single point of
failure.

rental price up, tried in vain to find documentation on how to get it
working with Apache2 and php-pear
- easyswap: Zip code doesn't work with UK postcodes

Here's another possibility I thought up. Just use a Google Spreadsheet
everyone can list thier offered/wants on. Transactions could be done
by using the ability of Google spreadsheet to take input by means of
an embedded form on the LETS website. This means free hosting and it's
simple.
However, this is not a very decentralized. I think the best solution
would be Cyclos made available both on the internet and on a mesh
network. I will investigate.

For the moment I think we're going to use CES. Thanks for letting me
know about this. I've seen that website many times but I never relised
it provided everything needed to setup a LETS!

And they really do have some cool secret racetracks in Malibu. That
BMW sticks like glue. Slaloming in my own lane while doing 100 miles
an hour on the curves while drunk (lots of alcohol sometimes helps
with driving and also helps alleviate colic and is my prescription for
concussions.) Yes, colic is human response to all the electromagnetic
waves in the air (cell phones, TV, radio, etc.) And yes, a few evil
people use targetted frequencies to create humans who can be easily
manipulated (IE. sex robots). Marilyn Monroe is an example. Adoption
is the most under-recognized form of trauma and possibly the most
severe. Marilyn was adopted, by the way. That's enough medicine for

hurtful. As unlikely as it sounds, all those things happened to me.
I can prove most of them. Even my friends and family have trouble
listening despite knowing I am telling the truth. I'm just an
