Major remake of the Ripple homepage

I/we are about to make a major remake of the Ripple homepage. Any
suggestions from you on this list?

The effort is much appreciated, but I think we can do better. Please don't take my criticisms personally.
Background should be white, menu should be higher and more visible, that turquoise is 90's (80's?) and there should be redundant links at the bottom of the text to keep the flow going ie user finishes reading and right there would be more information for them to pursue without having to think to look anywhere else. I like the new logo though ;)
If that ripple site is getting revamped, I can throw a comp together in a few minutes and translate it to the browser in a few more. Ryan/Mats, is that the plan? A new look for the info page?

It sounds great to me.
I just threw something together to get something done instead of the
boring white plain-text site as it is now.
And I agree with your criticism.
I tried with a couple of different background first but the blue color
in the logo makes it quite hard to get something good looking to it.
And I gave it like 10 min, so it's not that I gave my whole effort
(this time ;) ).
However I do think that a just plain white page without a design as it
is now is quite boring and the design is quite important these days
(imo)...

I would say a whole new look for the entire site is in order, but that
it makes the most sense to do this at the same time as refurbishing
the site to work on the new Ripple server when that is ready.

Upgraded it a bit.
Webcodig is all that I know something about (connecting to ripple),
and where I can help out.
I know fuck all about Python coding...
