Rhyl First team struggled to get fifteen players on the bus to visit
high flying league leaders Dolgellau and suffered a heavy defeat as a
result.

In the first match Rhyl got the better of a less experienced Abergele
side. Try scorers were Matthew Jones(2), Arwyn Williams(2), Dylan
Kerfoot Robson and Jack Webber, with the Sovereign Trophies man of the
match award going to Alec Harper.

The second game was a much closer affair with Rhyl just edging it with
another 2 tries from Arwyn Williams and 1 from Dylan Kerfoot Robson
with the Sovereign Trophies man of the match going to Bleddyn
Williams.
Denbigh U9s 4 Rhyl U9s 5
Rhyl U9s travelled to Denbigh knowing it was going to be a tough
battle. With Denbigh having the heavier squad they were able to push
Rhyl back and take the lead 3-2 at half time. Rhyl came out fighting
in the second half showing Denbigh they had the pace and skill,
working as a team passing the ball out wide into gaps for Jack
Staveley who scored all of Rhyl's tries. In the last few minutes
Denbigh were on the attack but Rhyl's defence held up for the win.
