Hi,

Has anyone seen this? Its a motion to have the speed limit on Grant
Avenue increase from 50km/hr to 60 km/hr between Harrow and Kenaston.

Its item 17 on the agenda of tomorrows (December 8th) City Centre
Committee meeting.

The administrative report says that "when speed limits are raised or
lowered, there is very little impact on motorists’ actual speeds". If
that is true then this shouldn't make much difference to the cycling
conditions on Grant.

Most often I end up on Grant because there is no handy alternative for
crossing the railway tracks between Lindsay and Renfrew. I wish we
could get paths put in across the tracks at Mathers and Fleet. Then I
wouldn't care about Grant at all.
