Greetings friends,
One of our members, Rey Perez, has indicated that he would like to hold a meeting at his apartment in Mission. I wanted to start a discussion thread regarding this proposal. He did not say when, or what should be on the agenda, so these would be some important things to determine. Who would be able to attend is another important consideration. Please let us know what you think about this proposal so we can have a great meeting. Thank you.

Hi Frank, Ive been very busy with work and school and havent been able to attend the other meetings. After this weekend I will be free from most of my classes and will be able to participate more. Let me know when you guys will be meeting and I think it be a good idea at someones place to change the scene a bit.

We are usually up for a meeting! Depending on the time and date of
course. Maybe we can all agree to bring a snack/food item to share so
that not only one or two people are contributing. As far as the agenda
of the meeting, one possible topic might be finding and discussing
opportunities for activism since that is the focus of the movement at
this point in time.

Hello Friends,
The proposal at Ray's apt. is great and I agree with MK that we
should bring a snack/food to share and contribute! I myself am free
after 5pm mon-fri and anytime on weekends. As for the agenda, one
main topic is to concentrate on our upcoming event in Jan and how to
get the word out before it becomes very last minute... Also, if we
have a secure venue, we need to take a look at our area and see how we
can not only feature the film but utilize the space to inform guests
of FACTS (posters, brochures, boardwalk signs etc.)... One last thing;
my brother and I spoke with MK and we would like to see and get
feedback from EVERYONE (please don’t be shy, we want to know what you
all think) on creating a welcome kit/packet for new members that
either want more information or that want to be a part of this
movement… with that said, we want to not only refer people to the
websites but have hard copies of what this movement is all about!!!

I noticed at the artwalk event, people were asking what the movement was about & I over heard people saying they could not explain it and to come to a meeting. That may be something to put on the agenda. If you cant explain what Zeitgeist is, people are not going to come to meetings because they are not going to take this serious.

great stuff guys, as for the meeting in mission, bringing snacks is a
wonderful idea too, it's a small apartment, but there is room for all
of us there. so far i was thinking Sunday December 26th, 2010 would
be a good day for me. maybe the following wednesday evening also could
work. i have enough chairs and couch space to seat 12 people, so if
you have any of those portable folding cloth lawn chairs you could
bring that would be cool, Only problem with my place is that it is on
the second floor, so it is not wheelchair accessible. just in case, i
did need to state that here.

As far as the agenda goes, I think we should start discussing plans
for the next Artwalk (assuming there is one) on the 7th of January. It
will be a crucial time to advertise for our screening of the ZMF film.
In addition, we should also make definite plans for a meeting/
orientation of new members that we receive after the screening. This
should tie in nicely with the idea of a hard copy of critical
information for all members, especially new ones. It would also be
prudent to start focusing on Z-Day in March.

two more dates just opened up for my apt, sunday dec 19th, and wed,
dec 22nd are also two days that we can consider as a possible date for

my apt is called "Pueblo de Paz" it is located in Mission, tx. on 2
1/4 miles north mayberry. the address is 3401 N. MAYBERRY APT 1227.
there is a gate, but it's always broken, so you can just drive in.
Directions from west bound 495: take a right on Mayberry rd, and head
north. pass Veterans Memorial High School, and pass stop sign on the
corner of 2mile and mayberry. continue north for about 1/4 mile and
take a left into the 2nd street(first left goes into a neighborhood)
just a few feet passed that neighborhood is the entrance to the
complex. drive into the complex and drive straight passed the pool
and mail boxes veer right. follow curve to the left, then to the left
again, drive toward the blue dumpster, park anywhere in that area.
building twelve will be on the left side, across the parking lot from
the dumpster. walk down sidewalk and take first stairway on the left
up to apt 1227. I have two cats, but i will lock them up in our
bedroom so they won't be up on everybody, but there will be traces of
pet dander, i had to mention that for those with allergies. I am
excited to host a meeting and look forward to developing ourselves as
a team. an effective team. as far as agenda goes, i wanted to be sure
we can touch on the rhetoric, and some literature that is in laymen's
terms, so that we can easily approach others with confidence. my phone
